ABETA Game Launcher
Desktop AIR application developed to securely connect to a remote server, verify the application, retrieve live betting data and run various virtual games created with Flash.
We use the Adobe AIR runtime, a component of the Adobe Flash Platform, to deploy web applications that run as cross-platform, standalone client applications without the constraints of a browser.
Due to the ease with which Flash Applications can now be deployed using the AIR runtime, it has encouraged the development of applications with greater focus spent on the usability and aesthetics of the user interface and experience: web developers and designers like ourselves can now easily deploy their Rich Internet Applications as desktop applications without the development and deployment barrier to entry that used to exist when producing desktop applications. With that in mind, we are able to focus on our strengths, producing rich and engaging experiences, without delving into specific operating system development.
We have proven track record in developing engaging Flash games and applications for advertising and marketing, promotional and educational purposes.
Flash games are often used as a hook to promote a product, a way of getting a consumers attention or engaging the user on a website and as a focal point for viral seeding / marketing. We have produced a number of Flash games which have been part of marketing campaigns to promote an event or a product/brand and we have provided social media strategy and integration to aid viral seeding into these.
A common alternative use for our Flash game development is within the educational sector where we produce rich educational experiences for primary school (Key Stage One) right up to the adult education sector.
Whatever the purpose, Flash games and activities tend to be highly interactive and engaging, have a facet of ‘stickiness’ and can be used to entertain and educate (and ideally both).
We build engaging touch and multi-touch applications for a wide spectrum of devices including mobile and SMART hardware.
As touch devices become a more common part of our lives, interface designers and application developers have to re-think how users go about performing tasks and adapt their design and development techniques accordingly. The first thing that comes to mind when you think of touch devices are probably smartphones or IPads where interface elements common to touch applications aid navigation and use. Our mobile web application design and development uses the latest touch-screen frameworks and we employ specific information architecture and user interface design techniques when conceptualising, prototyping and building touch interfaces.
We have also been busy building multi-touch, multi-user, interactive learning activities and games for the SMART Table that allow groups of early education students to work simultaneously on one surface. This throws new and interesting design and development challenges but judging by the positive reviews in the media and response from the students we are pretty pleased with the results (see below).
